Terms of use

Be good to people. Be good outdoors.

About Wildpal

Wildpal is a free personal project run by Dmytro Borysenko, trading as Wildpal. It helps adults discover, host and join real-world outdoor experiences. It does not sell experiences, take payments, provide insurance, act as an organiser, or guarantee that an experience, host or participant is suitable or safe.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, resident in the United Kingdom, provide accurate account information, keep your Google account secure, and be responsible for activity under your Wildpal account. Wildpal currently supports UK experiences only. Access is also limited by the country of your internet connection, so UK residents may be unable to use Wildpal while outside the UK. We may refuse, suspend or end access where this is necessary to protect people, the service or these Terms.

Hosting and joining experiences

Hosts are responsible for their listing, the accuracy of its description, their communications and decisions about participation. Participants are responsible for deciding whether an experience is suitable for them, including its activity, location, weather, travel and personal requirements. Before an experience starts, you may withdraw a pending request or leave an approved place. This immediately ends your access to its exact meeting details and group chat, and does not create a right to review the experience. Arrange and follow appropriate safety precautions. Do not rely on Wildpal as emergency support.

Community conduct

You must follow the Community & Safety Rules. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, deceive, exploit, share another person’s private information, upload unlawful material, or use Wildpal in a way that risks people or the service.

Illegal content

Wildpal does not permit illegal content or conduct. When we identify apparent illegal content, we will take proportionate action to minimise the time it remains available, which may include removing content, cancelling an experience, restricting or deactivating an account, and preserving relevant evidence where appropriate. You can report content or complain about our handling through the route below.

Your content

You remain responsible for content you post, including profile information, listings, requests, chat messages and reviews. You give Wildpal permission to host, display and process that content only as needed to run, protect and improve the service. Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

Reports and moderation

To help protect people, Wildpal limits chat to an experience host and approved participants and does not offer public direct messaging or member media uploads. Eligible host ratings count when submitted; public comments appear where the host's profile privacy setting permits them, without advance review by Wildpal. Do not include anyone's private details, threats, abuse or content you cannot lawfully share. To report a concern about a profile, experience, review or chat message, email [email protected]. Include enough detail to identify what concerns you, such as a link, experience name or date and time. We aim to acknowledge and assess reports within 5–7 working days, with faster triage for apparent serious harm or illegal content. To complain about how we handled a report, reply to the same email thread or email the same address with the subject “Wildpal safety complaint”. We may remove content, including a published review, restrict accounts or preserve relevant evidence where appropriate.

Availability and liability

Wildpal is provided free of charge and may change, pause or end. Outdoor activities carry inherent risks, and arrangements are made directly between hosts and participants. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Wildpal is not responsible for losses arising from an experience, a person’s conduct, or reliance on user-provided content.

Law and contact

These Terms are intended to be governed by Scots law and disputes handled by the courts of Scotland, except where mandatory law gives you rights or a forum that cannot be excluded. Contact [email protected] with questions, or write to Dmytro Borysenko trading as Wildpal, Unit 173640, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL, United Kingdom.

Changes

We will publish an updated version and ask for renewed acceptance when a material change requires it.
