Community & safety

Make space for good people outdoors.

Look after each other

Be respectful, honest and considerate. Treat people fairly regardless of identity or background. Do not pressure anyone, make unwanted advances, threaten, harass, discriminate, impersonate, deceive or exploit others.

Keep content safe

Do not post, link to, encourage or instruct others about sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse, suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, hate, bullying, violence, dangerous stunts, illegal drugs, weapons or other unlawful activity. Wildpal is for adults aged 18 or over. If you believe a person may be under 18 or at risk, do not arrange an experience with them; report the concern straight away.

Keep private details private

Do not post or request someone’s address, phone number, email, live location, financial details or other private information. Use broad locations in public listings. Share exact meeting details only through the appropriate private experience area and only when needed.

Host responsibly

Wildpal experiences must be free, peer-led, daytime and low-risk. Before publishing each experience, describe the activity, meeting arrangements and practical requirements accurately; get any needed permission; and consider foreseeable risks and what to do if something goes wrong. Communicate changes promptly and choose meeting arrangements thoughtfully. Do not claim qualifications, insurance, supervision or safety measures that you do not have. Hosts decide whether to accept a request, but must do so fairly and respectfully.

Wildpal does not organise, supervise, lead, insure or verify experiences, hosts, permissions, qualifications or safety arrangements. Hosts are responsible for checking and meeting any legal, safety, qualification or insurance requirements that apply to their experience.

Choose experiences responsibly

Before requesting a place, read the activity and practical requirements and assess whether it is right for you. Plan for conditions, equipment, travel, fitness and any personal needs; bring suitable kit, follow reasonable safety directions, and leave or seek help if you feel unsafe. Experiences should give you objective information such as distance, terrain, pace, kit and access constraints. You never need to disclose a diagnosis, health condition, disability detail or other medical information to request or join an experience.

Reports and emergencies

Eligible host ratings count when submitted. Public comments appear where the host's profile privacy setting permits them, without advance review. Wildpal may remove a review after a report or safety concern. Keep private details out of public comments.

Report suspected breaches, unsafe conduct or illegal content about a profile, experience, review or chat message by emailing [email protected]. Include enough detail to identify what concerns you, such as a link, experience name or date and time. To complain about how we handled a report, reply to the same email thread or email the same address with the subject “Wildpal safety complaint”. Reports are not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999 or 112; otherwise contact your local emergency services.

What Wildpal may do

We may review reports, remove content, limit access, suspend accounts and preserve relevant information where needed for safety, moderation or legal reasons. We aim to assess reports within 5–7 working days, with faster triage for apparent serious harm or illegal content.
