Cookie notice

Clear choices about browser technology.

What these technologies are

Cookies and similar technologies can store or access information on your device. They can keep a sign-in secure, remember choices, or help a service understand technical problems and performance.

Essential sign-in and preference storage

When you sign in, Wildpal uses the __Host-WildPal.Auth cookie to keep your authenticated session secure. It is HTTP-only, secure, same-site and has a 14-day sliding expiry. We also store your cookie preference in local browser storage for up to six months so we can honour it. These are necessary to provide the signed-in service you request and to remember your choice.

Functional Google services

Google Identity Services supports Google sign-in and Google Maps supports interactive maps and place search. They load only when you use their related features. Their browser technologies are governed by Google’s own notices and settings.

Optional analytics and diagnostics

Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated visitor and performance measurement. Google Analytics measures page visits, sign-up, hosting and place-request outcomes with public, non-personal campaign labels, using _ga and _ga_* browser/session cookies, lasting up to 30 days without automatic renewal. We send general page categories and external referring sites, excluding referring paths and queries. We do not link this data to your account or enable advertising features. Sentry’s browser SDK helps us diagnose technical errors and is configured to remove personal and request content before sending reports. These browser services do not load unless you opt in through Cookie Settings. Rejecting them does not stop you using Wildpal.

Your choices

On your first visit, you can accept optional services, reject them, or choose each purpose separately. You can return to this Cookie Notice from the footer at any time to change your choice. Saving a new choice reloads the page so that a service you turned off is no longer active. Turning analytics off also clears accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase earlier data held by Google. We ask again when your choice expires or the analytics purposes change, including when adding Google Analytics.
